In the 1980s, Ko Younghoon, a master of Korean hyperrealistic painting, started the Stone Book series with stones on the surfaces of newspapers, magazines and books, and submitted it to the 42nd Venice Biennale for the first time in Korea.Since then, he has emerged as an international writer through the 6th Intotriennale and the 2nd Antepangdang in 1974. Printed materials such as newspapers and books are the product of history and civilization, and the stone placed on them means a natural state that is not artificially processed. As a real object, a bookcase is collaged on a canvas, and stones appear on it in a hyperrealistic way to complete the work.
The newly released edition print by Ko Younghoon is a premium edition print made with 65 UV stacks on the bookshelf and stone parts, making it look more like an original than an original.
